I strongle disagree. Garage start-ups and product oriented companies are not dead. Far from it. In fact, it is the influencer companies that are dying. Where is clubhouse? where are all the crypto mombo jumbo startups backed by "influencers"? where are NFTs? You see, trends come and go but at the end of the day, products like Microsoft Excel, Gmail, Google Maps, Power point, etc will still remain because they serve a purpose. These products will never go out of fashion. What has changed is the form of marketing. No more speaking to the press and looking for interview on CNN and BBC to promote your startup. A popular youtuber or tiktoker can promote your start-up if they have the right audience. Big and small companies are now approaching celebrities/influencers to help promote their products.
