I like your reply. Let me address a few things tho. You might prefer Blender as a 3D software, but don't sit here and tell me Blender can match the likes of Maya, Max and Modo. It falls short on so many levels which is one of the main reasons big studios do not use it.

I am not against well funded open-source projects. Hell, that's like a company project that just happens to be source available.

Do not mistake open-source for source available. Flutter and react are good open-source software because they are heavily backed by big-players. They do not just accept code from nobodies. If your open-source project is financially backed and managed by industry experts and restricts submission to only the professionals in the team, that's different. however, this is just a tiny fraction of open-source projects. Most github projects are poor man's version of what software should be.
