I am well aware of well-structured, well-funded open-source projects. When backed by companies or academic bodies, these teams are selected and are trained to work together, so they do not suffer from most of what I mentioned.

However, 99% of github projects are just complete garbage. They are the typical open-source crapware I am taking about.

Open-source software are always vulnerable to stack-smashing attacks because of the nature of open-source software. Most open-source suffer from lack of support because they are not well funded and the "developers" are not well trained.

Lastly, I am not a code-bro or a brogrammer. You completely got that wrong.
